Jantar Mantar contains 'Jai Prakash Yantra', 'Samrat Yantra', 'Ram Yantra and a Mixed Machine' in which 'Suryagali' and a heavy 'Hemisphere' on the northern wall are included. The first observatory in the country was built in Delhi in 1724. In addition to Jaipur and Delhi, such observatories have been constructed in Ujjain, Varanasi and Mathura.
